Mission

Plug In America advocates the use of plug-in vehicles powered by cleaner, cheaper, domestic electricity to reduce our nation's dependence on petroleum and improve the global environment.

History

Plug In America was started as dontcrush.com, an effort to save electric cars from being taken from their drivers and crushed by their manufacturers. Dontcrush.com was successful in saving many EVs (unfortunately, no EV1s), but no major automaker has made another EV since. Plug In America is on a mission to get automakers to mass produce electric cars so the common person can afford to buy one.
