PFAW Is Ready for a New Generation
As a former nonprofit professional who spent her entire 20's in NP's, I can name very few organizations that actually encouraged the training and recruitment of young people.
Many organizations come to young people when it is time to fill a rally, press conference, event, march, etc., with bodies. I would dare to say that most turn to youth in the 11th hour to fill the crowd to hear the microphone.
PFAW is one of the few willing to hand the microphone over.
In their online marketing, their outreach, and most importantly their ALLOCATION OF FUNDING, they have made getting the next generation on board a priority.
Not to mention - their research resources just plain rocks my face off. :)

i recently came across people for the american way after my girlfriend read about it in the new york times and she pointed it out to me. she was extremely enthusiastic about the work they do so i've since checked it out. in a country where tax increases/decreases are more important to the average citizen than creating a sustainable foreign policy, and where it's become cool to be ambivilent, i welcome any organization that strives to put tools beneficial for building a stronger sense of civic engagement into the hands of young people.

I agree, PFAW works with many youth volunteers. When I was helping out with translating at polls I inquired more about internships at the organization and they described to me a couple projects they were working on that interns could work with, only to later add that they were open for new projects/possiblities that interns could propose. It seemed to me like an incredible opportunity.

PFAW is one of the biggest pieces of left wing crap on the planet.
