This bill if passed would implement the following: Set up a patient-physician- caregiver system; Allow qualified doctors to prescribe marijuana to patients with a qualifying illness, these would include: Cancer, HIV, AIDS, a condition that produces cachexia or wasting syndrome, severe or chronic pain, severe nausea, seizures, including those caused by epilepsy, severe or persistent muscle spasms including those caused by MS and Crohns disease; set up a system of Identification cards for caregivers and patients; set up a system of dispensaries; protect patients , caregivers, and physicians from the prosecution by governmental agencies for marijuana, possession and distribution, respectively; set up a fund for Drug Abuse and rehabilitation centers from the collected sales tax of the marijuana being sold.
