You're probably aware that, with many newspapers disappearing, Public-Educational-Government (PEG) television is increasingly important for supplying local news and information not otherwise available.  By covering local meetings, PEG broadcasts encourage government transparency. These channels also broadcast locally produced programs about varied segments of the community, which provides a forum for a diversity of local voices to be heard on local issues and allows citizens to exercise their right to free speech.  Please, support the Community Access Preservation (CAP) Act (HR 3745), which will protect PEG TV access as originally envisioned by lawmakers at state and federal levels, now.
