Since its announcement on February 10, 2012 and first release on June 26, 2012, the Kaijudo brand has heralded a television series, Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters, a successful trading card game with sequential expansion releases in July, September, and November of this year, and Kaijudo League for local stores engaging in the Wizards Play Network around the United States. This re-branding of the Duel Masters franchise has received enormous praise, on both the consumer and marketing levels, and support from its loyal fan-base so that the brand will continue to flourish.
In our reverence for Kaijudo, we extend to Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro our interest and suggestion for organized play through events across the country. With the implementation of organized play, it would vitalize the game with a competitive format which would appeal to all age groups and help encourage, possibly convert, non-Kaijudo players to the game we've grown fond of. In addition, this initiative would entice players to purchase more Kaijudo product to improve on their existing card pools and give purpose to these purchases beyond the casual level.
We are pleased with Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro with regards to marketing the Kaijudo brand and we are proud to contribute to the growth of it as part of the Kaijudo community. All that we ask is for Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro to take the steps needed to implement organized play in 2013 and beyond.
