The Westboro Baptist Church has notoriously picketed funerals of fallen soldiers along with LGBT Community Activities and funerals. It is time to ask that the State Attorney Generals, or the United States Attorney General, file a lawsuit against the Westboro Baptist Church for Hate Crimes, and intervene to stop the intimidation and harassment this cult-like church has spread.

Westboro Baptist Church

Greetings,

The Westboro Baptist Church has been notorious for picketing fallen soldier's funerals along with LGBT Community Events, LGBT high profile funerals, Jewish events, concerts and other "open minded" events.

According to http://definitions.uslegal.com/h/hate-crime/, "A hate crime is usually defined by state law as one that involves threats, harassment, or physical harm and is motivated by prejudice against someone's race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation or physical or mental disability."

According to the same website, "It is the right of every person, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, or physical or mental disability, to be secure and protected from threats of reasonable fear, intimidation, harassment, and physical harm caused by activities of groups and individuals."

While this website is for the state of Alabama, the definition and right should be held true by every state in the union. Based on this, the Attorney Generals of each state, along with the U.S. Attorney General, should file a lawsuit against Fred Phelps and the "cult like" Westboro Baptist Church to ensure the protection of those that their harassment and intimidation are directed at!

Hate is not protected by any portion of the Bill of Rights, nor the U.S. Constitution.

I urge you to request that the Attorney General of your respective state look into filing charges.

Respectfully,

[Your name]
