DART First State, Delaware's public transit agency, currently uses Elite Building Services, a company with more than $240,000 in outstanding federal tax liens, to clean its administrative offices and operational facilities in New Castle County. Elite is also the janitorial subcontractor at the city-owned Public Safety Building in downtown Wilmington. Send a letter to DART and Wilmington now and tell them to drop this irresponsible contractor!

Elite has a history of unpaid federal taxes. It has more than $240,000 in outstanding federal tax liens. And the company has been accused by current and former employees of turning a deaf ear to workers when they complain about working conditions.

Meet Melvina Faison, who while working for Elite had to rely on a City of Wilmington van from the St. Francis Hospital for her medical care. She earned $7.75 an hour and could not afford the health plan that Elite offered.

Meet Brenda Rivera. She was transferred from a site she had worked at for two years, after complaining about late paychecks.

Tell DART and Wilmington to stop using Elite.

- As a public agency that draws 80 percent of its funding from state and federal taxpayers, DART should not use tax delinquents that do not respect its workers.

- As the headquarters of Wilmington's law enforcement, the Public Safety Building should not be cleaned by a tax scofflaw.
