Julie NeumannPetition StarterFor daily updates on eating disorder news and body image issues, follow @julie_anna on Twitter. A survivor of 18 Chicago winters, Julie currently works as a web editor and freelance writer in toasty Austin, TX. She studied creative writing and economics at Vanderbilt and has a master's in journalism from the University of Texas. She is also a graduate of The Ranch eating disorder treatment program. A recovering bulimic and anorexic, she primarily writes about body image issues and is especially interested in the relationship between eating disorders, pop culture and the media. She hopes to expand her writing at Change.org to include women's mental health. Speaking of insanity, she spends most of her free time keeping her quasi-psychotic dog entertained.
