Honorable Representative,

I write in support of H.R. 4733, The Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act. This important bill would require the federal government to purchase food products derived only from animals that can fully extend their limbs and move freely in their confinement, specifically pigs during pregnancy, calves raised for veal, or egg-laying hens used or intended for use in food production.

Animals exploited for "food" are sentient beings capable of perceiving pain, fear, hunger, and loneliness - just as we humans do. Given the tremendous suffering they endure for human greed, affording them some modicum of protection is truly the least we can do.

Please co-sponsor H.R. 4733 and help give respite to those animals who give their lives for our palates. Thank you for your kind consideration.
