The Issue

We are almost there but need YOUR HELP to go all the way.
The bill that passed the House now heads back to the Senate for a FINAL VOTE and your Senators needs to hear from you.
Congress will be shutting down any moment. We need you to act TODAY.
Here's what you can do:
Calls from constituents are the most effective way to urge action. Please pick up the phone TODAY and call your Senators.
1. Find who represents you in the Senate here.
2. Call the Senate switchboard (202) 224-3121 and ask to be connected to your Senator's office.
Once connected, you can use this sample script: "Hello, my name is ________ and I am a constituent. I am calling to urge Senator _______ to support S. 2925 the Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Deterrence and Victims Support Act of 2010. We can't keep leaving child victims of sex trafficking out in the cold. By supporting S. 2925, Senator ___________ can ensure that by next Christmas, child victims of sex trafficking across the U.S. will get the support and protection they need to have A Future. Not A Past. This issue is very important to me. Can I count on the Senator's support?"
Call your Senators NOW. There isn't a moment to spare.
3. Once you make your calls, sign this petition to be counted and help us track our progress!
Experts estimate that at least 100,000 children are trafficked for sex in the U.S. every year. These children experience violent trauma, manipulation, and are often arrested and detained in juvenile detention. There are currently less than 100 beds nationwide in shelters prepared to provide the specialized care young trafficking victims need and deserve.
For the thousands of child victims trafficked for sex every day, passage of S. 2925 would be one of the greatest gifts of all.
