Urge Congressman Stark to debate his opponent, Eric Swalwell

The Issue

Holding a seat in Congress is not a right, it's a privilege, granted by the voters. Congressman Stark says he will not debate his opponent, Eric Swalwell, because he will be asked "stupid" questions. (SF Chronicle and ABC 7 News, 7.3.12) Let him know this is not acceptable. The voters deserve better. Congressman Stark must answer to his constituents and debate his opponent, Dublin City Councilman Eric Swalwell, to explain why he deserves re-election. Sign the petition asking him to debate!

Congressman-Elect Eric SwalwellPetition StarterEric Swalwell was raised in Dublin and graduated from Dublin High School. Since 2006, has served as a prosecutor for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. In November 2010, Eric was elected to the Dublin City Council where his priority is to re-start Dublin's economy, entice businesses back to Dublin and expedite development projects and fill vacant commercial real estate sites. Eric received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law. While at Maryland, Eric served on the City of College Park City Council as its student representative. Eric founded and still serves as President of the Dublin High School Alumni Association and serves in an advisory capacity on the Alameda County Fire Commission, the Alameda County Library Advisory Board and the Tri-Valley Conservancy. Eric is also a member of the Dublin Sister-City Association and the Dublin Lions Club.
