Remember those 4 animal activists who were recently arrested by the FBI and charged with terrorism? The FBI indictment is now online. There is no longer a doubt: This case is about freedom of speech, not terrorism. Nowhere in the indictment does it say that these four kids were involved in any violence or property damage. They were arrested for exercising their right to free speech: chalking on the sidewalk, attending protests, and distributing leaflets. Sure they may have used harsh language in their flyer, but animal testing is a gruesome business. Sometimes you need to use strong language. Did the government go too far by arresting these kids?
What do you think?
