By integrating a monthly visit from the Cedar Bend Humane Society at the University of Northern Iowa, students and faculty will have a great way to de-stress while also promoting a strong sense of community and educating people on the joys of adopting animals from shelters. Many students living in the dorms had to leave their furry friends behind at home. Giving those students the opportunity to interact and bond with animals will bring a small but important slice of home into their college life. Please consider this petition and help bring happiness to the lives of both the UNI community and the loving animals that need forever homes.
