Please co-sign the Expanding the Promise for Individuals with Autism Act

Dear Senator,

As your constituent, I am writing to urge you to co-sign the Expanding the Promise for Individuals with Autism&nbsp;Act of 2007 (S. 973). It is up to you to take steps towards a brighter future for the hundreds of thousands of US citizens with autism who currently do not recieve critical services. <br /><br />I am urging you to place a level of high importance on the EPIAA, a crucial bi-partisan act that will set aside an effective $350 million for critical interventions, therapies, and services for children and adults on the autism spectrum. <br /><br />The EPIAA will help establish a task force with the autism community&#39;s involvement that reports to Congress regarding the latest in behavioral treatments, evidence-based biomedical treatments and services. Gaps in services and research will thus be updated and indentified. The bill also has a grant structure for treatments and services, immediate post-diagnosis care, protection, legal representation and advocacy initiatives for families dealing with developmental disabilities. <br /><br />As a government official, you have the capacity to change the current autism service crisis into the opportunity to brighten lives. American lives will change the moment you co-sign this bill. Thank you for supporting those with autism.
