About this Petition Pledge

 
 Larry Kramer was an improbable activist. His life in NY theatre life was accomplished and comfortable. My fellow Yale alum was a man driven to "civil disobedience" because the power elite and his so-called " gentrified friends and allies" were passive aggressive or worse, accomodationist with the power elite for fear of losing access to power.

SILENCE = DEATH in dozens of languages, and civil disobedience changed the world. In the civil rights struggle in the EU, it is the civilly disobedient activism that frightens politicians into action.

Otherwise, the woos politicians and the woos "activists" sip cocktails together and have meaningless conversations complete with excuses and apologies. " Thank you for your comment, dear queer one, but we can't help you. Have another drink."

If you are a same-sex family with kids, and your son (...in my case) or daughter comes home from kindergarten or first grade hearing their first slur against two moms or two dads.....you are never again an apologetic or gentrified queer....NEVER AGAIN.
