I feel that marijuana should have a semi-public representation on social networks, just as alcohol or cigarettes would. The marijuana community is not what everyone makes it out to be. Most people think that since cannabis is illegal that anyone who partakes is a criminal, which is not the case. Some people use marijuana as a way to cope with stress, assist with medical issues, and there are people who even use it to build a stronger connection with their religion & spiritual beliefs. Marijuana is NOT deadly, unlike alcohol, cigarettes, & hard drugs. The legalization of marijuana is right around the corner, whether it's this year or within the next 10 years. I feel like pot culture & the marijuana community should be equally represented in the directory of Tumblr blogs. The more we hide the fact that marijuana is present in some (if not, most) of our lives, the less the people around us will accept it.

My primary goal for this petition is for Tumblr to include blogs such as justgethigh.com​, potculture.tumblr.com,  & many, many more into their directory, preferrably in the "culture" section, since all of our blogs are centered around the culture of cannabis, or they could create a section called "NSFW" or "420-friendly." Also, adding a 'weed', '420', or 'marijuana' tag to the explore page wouldn't be a bad thing either. There are so many 420-friendly blogs on Tumblr that have dedicated fanbases & great material, and I feel like these blogs should be presented to the public & be able to be found by users of Tumblr.

So please, Tumblr, let us educate people on marijuana the right way. Let them look up marijuana blogs & educate themselves on the cannabis community & pot culture by including 420-friendly blogs into your directory & 420-friendly tags into your explore page. Let cannabis users have the ability to find blogs that cater to their interests.
