The crosswalk on Lowell St for access to Harrington Elementary is hazardous. It is located around a curve which creates difficulties in the line of sight for drivers. Many drivers go in excess of the speed limit and by the time they approach the crosswalk they need to quickly slam their brakes. Even when the crossing guard is there it is a challenge to safely cross the Lowell St. When there is no crossing guard it is extremely unsafe. Harrington is an elementary school and small children are put at risk every day at this cross walk. A flashing light and a permanent speed monitor will alert approaching motorist to slow down. Realizing installing a flashing light and permanent speed monitor will take time we need other alerts set up like stand alone pedestrian crossing signs placed in the center of the steet, and "Do Not Pass" signs placed on Lowell St.
