Facebook has gotten a lot of people on its back lately due to its plans to build a data center in Oregon that will be primarily powered by coal. Over half a million people are pushing it to negotiate a cleaner, better deal.
Now, Facebook has announced it is planning to build its second data center in North Carolina, a coal-heavy state.
Facebook isn't living up to the clean energy standards being set by Yahoo!, Google, Verizon, Dell and many others. It's time that it does.
Help push Facebook to get more of its electricity from clean energy by signing this petition.

It's Time to Step Up Your Clean Energy Efforts
Greetings,
I'm very happy to see that Facebook is focusing on energy efficiency and green building and has started a "green" page. All great things. But these are baby steps.
If Facebook is serious about addressing the most pressing environmental problems of our day (and perhaps the most pressing in all of history), it needs to do what Yahoo!, Google, Verizon, Dell, and many others are doing and put a stronger emphasis on clean energy.
In particular, Facebook's data centers (in Oregon and North Carolina and anywhere else you build them) need to be getting their electricity from clean energy sources.
Please step it up and negotiate better deals with your electricity providers that encourage clean energy and reduce demand for old, dirty energy.
Thank You,
