Consumers can help developing countries, relieve exploitation, and promote environmental sustainability by purchasing Fair Trade-labeled products. As the leaders and best, the University of Michigan should offer students more Fair Trade products to buy. In particular, the University of Michigan should offer Fair Trade chocolate and bananas in its dining halls and other venues. In terms of apparel, the University should produce and sell items made by Alta Gracia, a socially just apparel manufacturer. However, the Universtiy should not limit itself to providing these Fair Trade products.
