By not utilizing a union hotel, the Sacramento Military Entrance Processing Station (Sac-MEPS) chain of command has indirectly supported the suppression of workers' rights.

While we do not believe this to have been intentional, it cannot be allowed to continue, especially as the workers of the current hotel face obstruction from their employers as they try to obtain better working conditions and rights for all. 

By signing this petition, you are telling the MEPS personnel: 

-They must end their current contract with the Doubletree in Sacramento as soon as possible.

-They must negotiate a contract with a hotel in Sacramento that has workers who are organized as members of a Sacramento Central Labor Council recognized union.

-Failure to accomplish this will result in further action on the part of the organizers to interrupt DOD support of hotels that suppress workers' rights through the contracting of their services for the MEPS program.
