Stop the deportation of Deborah Langley A#077005518
The Issue
Deborah is a 31 year old Single mother of a 14 year old US citizen boy who is blind in one eye. Originally from Jamaica she has lived in the US 14 years, 11yrs as a LEGAL Permanent Resident. Deborah Langley, graduated high school in Florida, owns her own home, her own business and always paid taxes.
She is facing deportation for a 12 year old charge theft charge ( her cash register had come up short at BJ's wholesale) The conviction was recently vacated and dropped (nolle pros) by Dade county court.
Immigration has refused to give bond causing her to be held mandatory detention for 15 months now at the Broward Transition Center in Broward County Florida.
Deborah had a 2005 conviction for possesion of a marijuana joint charge which she fought pro se and that charge has been vacated but removal proceedings continue.
Deborah is the sole caregiver of her 77 yr old grandmother and her teenage son who live at her house and need her to come home.
Deborah and I can not afford a good Immigration attorney and we need your help.
