In the US, horses or an important part of our history, not as food, but as man's perfect "slave". They willingly worked for us, they loved us, for some, a horse was a man's best friend. Horse Slaughter is inhumane and against our American culture, this country wouldn't have survived without them, so why kill them off for a bit of money? Owners get tired of their horses and no longer can they afford them so they sell them to slaughter houses in Mexico and France.
