Every year at least 5 million chickens are brutally slaughtered in the streets, around the high holy days, as "atonement for our sins" . While many Jews have abandoned this practice and instead give charity on a large scale, this chickacide still goes on all over the world. Its time we put a stop to this. Its one thing to slaughter chickens for food, But to pointlessly kill millions of chickens is a blatant disregard of animal rights.
