Recently Representatives Nickie Antonio and Ross McGregor of Ohio introduced The Equal Housing and Employment Act (EHEA) HB 335 which would provide protections for people based on their age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and military status while conducting any business process whether it be hiring, firing, selling, buying, leasing or renting. Chris Ferruso, of the National Federation of Independent Business, came out against the bill saying that being required to not discriminate and treat people with respect and dignity no matter their age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and military status is a liability to businesses. Businesses that discriminate create the liability not a person who is different.  Support and pass the Equal Housing Employment Act Ohio HB 335 condemn discrimination and fire Chris Ferruso for condoning discrimination.
