Please count me as a supporter of legislation that would make it illegal to text while driving in Florida. Texting while driving increases the odds of a crash by up to 23 percent. The National Safety Council estimates that 28 percent of the crashes that occur in the United States involve cell phone usage.  By signing this petition I also pledge that although it is not currently illegal in Florida, I will not text while driving.
