The Gaithersburg Book Festival is an event with great potential but is being held back by taking place where it does nothing to strategically promote Gaithersburg or provide economic impact. Kentlands Downtown is seeking Arts & Entertainment District designation and bringing the GBF to Kentlands Downtown would provide a wonderful backdrop for the event, provide a great business opportunity for numerous small businesses, and solidify Kentlands Downtown's Arts & Entertainment status.

Relocating the Gaithersburg Book Festival to Kentlands Downtown would make sense on every level. Please sign this petition to convince the Mayor and City Council to consider this proposal carefully.
