We must restore the pride and tradition of college athletics at this prestigious institution. Unfortunately, the Colorado Buffaloes football program has not performed to our previous standards since the firing of head coach Gary Barnett. In order to stop this vicious downward spiral, drastic changes must be made, starting at the top. We must replace these gentlemen with officials that genuinely care about the success of athletics.  Men who understand the importance of this success and what benefits it gives to the university.  Men who do what it takes to get the job done and not men who use head coaches as scapegoats when things look ugly.  These new officials could look at changing the admissions requirements for student athletes and to help recruits from junior college to attend CU. The football program provides funds for all other sports in the athletic department. We must have success in football to have success in our other teams. With more talent on the football field, we would again sell out Folsom Field on a weekly basis. Happy alumni would be much more willing to donate to the school. We would once again gain the positive national recognition that this great university deserves. Coach Barnett, as well as many other former Buffaloes have tried to reason with Bohn, DiStefano, and Benson, but their suggestions fell on deaf ears. They do not listen to suggestions that would move this program in the right direction. Regents, I'm sure you're aware of the very bad national publicity that the decision to fire Coach Embree has created. This is just the worst of many bad decisions that these three gentlemen have jointly made. How can you allow this dismantling to continue? How can we trust them to make the important decision of who to hire as our next coach when the last one was not even given a chance to turn things around? Let's move our university and athletic department forward by wiping the slate clean. Shoulder to Shoulder, it's time to show you have the heart of a Buffalo. Go Buffs!!!!
