As a citizen of the United States I am asking other citizens to join me in helping young people who have grown up, gone to school, made friends and have a love for the United States, to be given an opportunity, a pathway to documentation and eventual citizenship, after serving their country, paying for and receiving a college education and proving themselves to be deserving and without criminal activities in there past.

These young people are caught in a trap of being American in every sense of the word but without documentation or citizenship. They were brought here as young children and many don't find out until their teens that they cannot get a drivers license, cannot legally get a legitimate job, cannot go on trips with their school mates. Why, because they were brought here as children and have no legal documentation. They want to join the military, go to college, do all the things any other young person their age wants to do but instead have to live in the shadows, in fear.

This is a letter, written by a Dreamer I know.

 "Dear America,
We come to you as humbled children. We are here to offer, not to take. We are not asking for any free handouts. We are only asking for an opportunity to prove to you that we are noble Americans. Nothing hurts more than being rejected by the country we love, the country we grew up in, the country we’ve defended all our lives.
We are students. And we are surviving on nothing but hope. We’ve been unwavering in our studies and our work life. We have given up most of our childhood to work hard and chase a dream that we know, almost certainly, will never pay off. But still, we choose to stay focused on that slight glimmer of hope that someday it just might. That, in itself, says a lot about our character.
We are living in an economy where every person counts. We have so much to offer. Please let us share it. If granted help, our hard work will continue to infect each other. As Aristotle said, “Excellence is not an act it’s a habit.”
Please support our future. Support your future. Support our Dream Act. Thank you very much."

I am asking other US citizens such as myself to join with me and these young people in asking President to commit to working for and finding a solution to these young People. If not by passing a Dream Act then by Executive Order. Please Sign our petition and help us spread the word.

Dear President Obama, Help These Young People Achieve Their Dreams!

Dear President Obama,

I am writing to ask you to join me in helping young people who have grown up, gone to school, made friends and have a love for the United States, to be given an opportunity, a pathway to documentation and eventual citizenship. This would require them serving their country, paying for and receiving a college education and proving themselves to be deserving and without criminal activities in there past.
