The top-selling over the counter hemorrhoid remedy, Preparation H, contains shark liver oil as a moisturizing agent. Tell Pfizer to give sharks a break by replacing shark liver oil with one or more plant-based ingredients from the FDA's "Generally Recognized as Safe" (GRAS) list. Such a replacement would not only help sharks, who are rapidly becoming threatened the world over, but negate the "need" for any animal testing of the reformulated products.
As a leading name brand, the reformulation of the Preparation H line could set off a chain reaction resulting in the reformulation of similar generic and store-brand products that mimic Preparation H ingredient for ingredient; at present, this means that nearly all of them contain shark liver oil.

Please take sharks off the ingredient menu.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to request that you replace the shark liver oil currently found in your Preparation H line of products with one or more plant-based moisturizing ingredients from the FDA’s “Generally Recognized as Safe” (GRAS) list. Such a replacement would not only help sharks, many species of whom are dwindling, but negate the “need” for and expense of testing the reformulated products on animals.
Please show your consumers that you care about the health of their environment and the welfare of these and other animals by removing shark and other animal-derived ingredients from your products.
Thank you for your valuable time and consideration,
[Your name]
