Why This Is Important

Many major restaurant chains are starting to use some cage-free eggs. But IHOP refuses to take this modest step, instead exclusively using eggs from hens cruelly confined in barren battery cages so tiny, each animal has less space than a sheet of paper on which to live. It's time for IHOP to move in the right direction!

Dear Ms. Stewart,

Please stop exclusively using eggs from hens cruelly confined in barren battery cages so tiny, they can barely move their entire lives. Each hen supplying eggs for your company has less space than a sheet of notebook paper to spend her entire life. That's cruel, inhumane, and simply wrong.

By just starting to switch to cage-free eggs, you can reduce some of the worst factory farming cruelty--and catch up to your competitors.
