Frito-Lay announced that it would immediately stop producing its biodegradable, compostable SunChips bags because consumers complained that the sacks were too noisy. These bags are made from plant-based materials and break down in a mere 14 weeks. They should be regarded as model food packaging, not discontinued simply because they're "too noisy."

The world's landfills are already piled high with non-biodegradable garbage. Tell Frito-Lay it's important to keep using its eco-friendly packaging. Sign our petition asking the company to keep selling SunChips in compostable bags.

Keep SunChips in Compostable Bags

Greetings,

It's come to our attention that Frito-Lay plans to stop selling SunChips in compostable, biodegradable bags because consumers complained that the bags are "too noisy." These green bags are hugely innovative and should be regarded as model food packaging--not discontinued simply because they're a little louder than traditional potato chip sacks.

The world's landfills are already overflowing with non-biodegradable garbage. We need green packaging like Frito-Lay's compostable SunChips bags in order to protect the planet. Please continue selling SunChips in your biodegradable, compostable bags.
