For the first time ever, a Presidential budget will add funding and programs to combat global warming. The cap and trade system, a necessary component to fight global warming by placing an enforceable cap on the amount f carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions companies release into our air, is coming under attack by members of Congress. Tell your representatives that Cap and Trade is vital to the future of our nation and the time for action is now!

Dear Representative

The Presidential budget that is under review on Capitol Hill contains proposed funding for the cap and trade program that is vital in combating the global warming problem. Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) has proposed slashing President Obama's discretionary spending, but the budget resolution does not set aside a fixed amount of money for the president's or cap-and-trade proposals.

Cap and trade pays for itself, according to the Center for American Progress. Not only that, it is imperative for the future of not only our great nation, but our planet. Reconsider your position by reviewing facts on global warming and cap and trade and make sure that the proposed funding for cap and trade is not cut from the proposed budget.
