A CNN poll released May 25 finds that "Nearly 8 in 10 favor gays in the military." And yet, members of the GOP, while claiming they know and are acting on the will of the American people, are standing it our way.

On Monday, Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) speaking on DADT repeal, stated, "The American people don't want the American military to be used to advance a liberal political agenda. And House Republicans will stand on that principle."

It's time to tell Congress, to stop acting against the will of the American people while claiming to act in the name of the American people.

Congress is slated to vote on repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" this week. Tell them to say yes to fairness and equality for all Americans, especially those willing to lay their lives on the line to protect the freedoms we all should be able to enjoy.

Tell Congress the American People want "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" repealed now.

The American People Want "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Repealed Now

Greetings,

This week, you will be voting on whether or not to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," a law that is responsible for firing more than 13,000 members of America's armed forces, solely because of their sexual orientation. Currently, it is estimated that there are an additional 65,000 LGBT Americans serving in our nation's military.

Politics is one thing. Military readiness, and the will of the American people is another.

A CNN poll released Tuesday, May 25, finds that today, "Nearly 8 in 10 favor gays in the military." It's hard to beat support for an issue as strong as this. Surely, you must agree that the American people want "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" repealed, swiftly and without another study or another political delay.

Please, when it's time to vote, vote in the name of the American people. Vote to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
