Recently, President Bush lifted the presidential moratorium on offshore drilling. Now he wants Congress to do the same.
 
Experts agree - offshore drilling will do absolutely nothing to reduce current gas prices. But it WILL endanger our thriving coastal economy as well as the delicate ecosystem along our shores.
 
Oil and gas companies have neglected to drill for fuel in the 68 million acres of federal land they already have access to. Why should we hand over more and risk the coastal economy and environment for nothing in return?
 
Rising gas prices today and unsustainable energy strategies in the future are urgent problems. Remind Congress that offshore drilling is NOT the solution.
