Let our government officials know that we are serious about creating a healthier place for our children. We are tired of the schools lying to our children about the world around them.
As simply as we can, we are telling our future teachers, leaders, service people, caretakers, chefs, waitresses, artists, actors, writers, models, drivers, factory workers, politicians, doctors, nurses, directors, builders, engineers, designers, business owners, managers, preachers, musicians and all other future adults who will have contact with the public and the next generation, the truth about veganism.
Abuse of animals will no longer be tolerated by society. Animals are not things to be owned, used for entertainment or scientific experimentation, clothing or food.
Educating our youth must start at home.
We are telling children the truth.
To our government leaders and decision makers
I believe that learning begins at home. I am doing my part to prepare the next generation to care for the mess that we have made of this planet. I am letting you know now that this parent will no longer allow the government or any federally funded program lie to children about what they are being indoctinated into while in school, involved with community activities or when watching television. The lies are in the cafeteria, in text books and on posters hanging on the walls, among other places they are likely to look on a frequent basis.
I have given the following letter to the children in my family;
To my children and my children's children,
I love you enough to tell you the truth. I want you to know what it means to be an ethical vegan, why we do not go to zoos, animal circuses, aquariums or wear leather, wool and silk, and why we do not use or eat animal products or their by-products. As we learn together how to nurish ourselves, be productive members of society, educate ourselves about moral and legal issues, and how to treat our fellow animal companions, we will make our world a more peaceful and healthy place to live.
Each day, we will make plant-based meals together and read about other affective ways to clean up our environment. We will continue to develope a kind and loving relationship with each other and the world around us. We will learn about how to create a sustainable way of life.
with love and respect,
your parent/grandparent/guardian
