"Curing" gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people? Yep, there’s an app for that -- unless we can convince Apple to get rid of it.

A controversy is erupting around a new application for the iPhone that claims gay people can be "cured," and that gay kids should be put through therapy to "fix" their sexual orientation.

Believe it or not, Apple is providing Exodus International -- an organization that promotes "conversion therapy" to try to brainwash gay people into turning straight -- a platform on iTunes for their homophobic iPhone app. This, despite the fact that Exodus believes that LGBT people should be confronted with "spiritual warfare," and that "freedom from homosexuality" should be a societal goal.

It's hard enough for young people without companies like Apple perpetuating the myth that LGBT people need to be "cured." Let Apple know that you will not patronize their app store as long as this type of nonsense is being peddled there. Please help us remove this offensive app.

Greetings,

I was shocked to see that a company, such as yours, who makes so much of its profits from young people would stoop to the level of offering a "gay cure" app. With all the news lately regarding the bullying of LGBT kids I would think Apple would be the last company to offer such a ridiculous product.

Please remove this offensive app and help send the message that ALL people should be accepted just the way they are.
