There are a horde of People's Initiatives and movements in Pune City, increasing in number, and overlapping in their nature of approach and responsibilities. I am working to be one more networking facilitator and catalyst in this all-inclusive integrative healing process.

Amongst these initiatives are:
- a movement to Reform Voter's Lists so that the process of elections is made transparently democratic.
- a movement to create a people-sensitive political party
- a movement to create Government-People partnership
- a movement to save the five rivers of Pune City
- a movement to awaken the population of the Upper Bhima River Basin to the pollution threatening the river and the polpulation
- a movement to alert the Governments of Maharashtra, Karnataka and AndhraPradesh States of India to the wisdom of handling River-Water-Distribution and Management Issues in collaboration and not in isolation
- a movement, in Sangli District, to encourage farmers to plant fodder for the cattle, so that cattle are not sold for want of fodder, and retaining the cattle and older ways of farming helps to conserve the fertility of the land as well as gives milk production as an earning option to the villages
- a movement to find the number, width, depth and permeation of ALL such above movements and to have them available on the internet in the form of a 'NETWORKING THE NETWORKS' website.

The accompanying pic is from a meeting where Scientists/Environmentalists, Spiritualists/Mass-Commmunicators & Administrators/Councillors/Bureaucrats came  together in Pune Municipal Corporation to brainstorm River Management Issues to reach an Action Plan 2008-2009.
