We were appalled when we read the following on Gawker: "Amazon.com announced it will pay customers up to $5 to go into a local store, scan an item, walk out, and buy the same item on Amazon."
As a nonprofit that works to bolster local entrepreneurship and microbusinesses, we consider this a blatant attack on local small businesses. It is a race-to-the-bottom tactic that should be stopped.
Support small businesses, shop locally and tell Amazon
1) to scrap their $5 "Price Check" program and
2) to apologize to America's small businesses.
Sincerely,
