Some in Congress have made suggestions which would seriously weaken the highly successful Endangered Species Act, which has helped protect vanishing species for thirty years.  Only enlightened action by the Senate can continue save this essential Act.  I urge the Senate to stand firm against all efforts to weaken the Endangered Species Act.
