Let's model the peace we want to see in the world by being more peaceful ourselves.   Let's stop verbal/physical violence and conflict right in our neighborhoods, by pledging not to add to it!

This is something all of us can do in our everyday lives to help improve the world:

I challenge all of us, myself included, to refrain from yelling for three months.   Let's pledge to keep our voices down.

We can all resolve conflict without angry behavior.  We can show others by our example how to do it, too.   Children learn more from what we do than what we say anyway.

So let's do it ... for the next three months of our lives from the point of signing this pledge, let's show our children, parents, friends, siblings, teachers, students, and everyone else whose lives we touch or affect each day, that all points of conflict can be resolved peacefully.  Let's show them by example how to keep composure even when challenged.  Let's show them how to solve problems by thinking through them, without using any demonstration, bullying or aggression.

The idea is, if we can do this for three months, we can see that we have the power to make this a permanent change and to challenge those around us to try.
(I bet most of us will feel a lot less upset by things that happen in our daily lives than we presently do, too.)

Good luck!  :)
