Police officers for as long as i can remember seem to get off easy when it comes to punishment for crimes they commit. It seems that the justice system, Prosecuting attorneys, and everyone else just wants to give little punishment.

All anyone needs to do is google the words "Police Arrested For" and hundreds of articles from all over the country will pop up. Then just follow the case and see what happens. What seems to be the big fun crime for Law Enforcement these days is owning/sharing child porn. These guys find it and share it, and no telling what else is going on in their minds. When someone is caught with this material they several years in prison (as they should)! However, when it is Law Enforcement they tend to get a slap on the wrist and lose their jobs.

I believe that law enforcement should be held to a higher standard! These are the men and women that are to protect the country on a local level, yet they seem to be worse than the criminals. I believe that law enforcement breaking the law should have to do the max when it comes to punishment!

It is time for a more strict punishment

Dear Representative

It is time to send a clear message to men and women of law enforcement, those traing to be in law enforcement, and those thinking about becoming law enforcement.

That message is this, Maximum penalties for laws broken by law enforcement. Gone is the time of letting Police Officers of with a slap on the wrist for breaking the law. These men and women have stepped up to protect us all, but when they break these same laws they are barely punished. We feel it is the time to send a clear message that if you are paid to protect and you become the villian, then you will be made an example of.

These men and women should recieve the full sentence for their crimes, and it is an insult for them to get a slight sentence when some regular citizen gets a massive sentence for doing less. It is clear that what is being done to keep law enforcement from committing crimes is not working.

Lets all step up and show them that the laws will be enforced or else
