Please stop pet stores from purchasing from puppy and kitten mills!

We, the undersigned, are petitioning to respectfully request something be done to end pet stores from purchasing from puppy and kitten mills!

Thousands of innocent puppies and kittens die each year at puppy and kitten mills! Puppy and Kitten Mills house thousands of animals, that live in unsanitary conditions, and even sometimes go days without being fed or given a drink.

These animals are also kept in crowded areas sometimes giving shelter to five or six grown dogs, not to mention puppies as well as the same conditions for cat and kittens.

The animals are not given proper care and are not treated for health problems, so they live in very bad health. It is a fact that over 50% of the puppies that come from puppy mills, dont make it to adulthood. If you add it up anyway, you will see that is a lot of animals that die daily, not to mention yearly.

Something needs to be done, their lives are in our hands. We are asking that a new law be put into effect that would stop pet stores from purchasing dogs and cats from puppy and kitten Mills. The pet store should get the animals from shelters and get them adopted.

We believe animals, like people, deserve to be treated humanely. We believe consumers must be protected. We believe businesses, such as pet stores, should be held accountable and believe regulation would prevent anymore unnecessary deaths

We support legislation to regulate pet stores in the United States.
