Many people are wrongly convicted or plead guilty to a crime they did not commit and are later cleared by DNA evidence. Now there is a trend where people can be accused of sexual abuse (usually child sexual molestation) by a an ex husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend either for revenge or as leverage in a child custody battle without ANY physical evidence or the accused having any prior history of such a crime. All I ask is that if there is no physical proof, no prior history of a similar crime by the accused and a clear and present motive for the accuser to make false allegations that a person's life is not ruined on only the word of another. Innocent people are accused, coerced into admitting guilt or taking a plea deal or even found guilty by a jury with no proof that the crime was ever actually committed. That means no DNA evidence that could prove the accused is innocent!!!!!!! It not only hurts the accused but also the child who is forced to lie and have to face life with the stigma associated with being a "sexual victim" and the guilt of knowing they helped put away an innocent person.

Please find all the petitions about falsely accused people and sign them.  One person by themselves can not make a difference but if we come together as one voice for each case then perhaps this trend will end.
