In anticipation of the Democratic National Convention, the City of Charlotte, NC is considering the enactment of city ordinances that would prohibit the occupation of public property of any kind. It would also ban any "noxious" substances, as well as the ability to block streets in protest, and any items that would be used to obstruct. This is an infringement upon the right to assemble peacefully. Please protest these ordinances! Charlotte is a city that that hosts many big bank headquarters, which are large targets of the Occupy Movement. Do not let the City of Charlotte make our protest of big banks and corporate greed be impeded on a legal scale! Sign the petition!
