In Early 2010, BET plans to air an 8 part series chronicling Vick's rise from a difficult childhood to becoming a star at Virginia Tech, the No. 1 overall draft pick of the Atlanta and at one time the highest paid player in the NFL. Vick stands to net $600,000 for this program.

Let's be proactive and petition BET to stop the airing of this program.  Hit Vick where it really hurts - his wallet!  Vick should not be allowed to profit from his heinous crimes.  Shame on BET for even considering airing this program.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED ask you to reconsider airing this program. Many of your viewers who are offended by your actions will be boycotting this program and your station. A better programming alternative would be a special report on the Vicktory Dogs, the re-hab of dogs misused in fighting and what their lives were like before Michael Vick's Bad Newz Kennels was shut down.
