Indian drug company Vivo Biotech plans to build a multi-million dollar animal testing laboratory in Malacca, Malaysia. The facility will test trial medicines on primates, dogs, and small mammals. The primates will be obtained from Malaysian forests.
Vivo Biotech has chosen to outsource this project to Asia, because Malaysia has few animal cruelty regulations. This means there is no guarantee for the welfare of the animal testing subjects. Do not allow Vivo Biotech to outsource cruelty for profit.

Stop Vivo Biotech's Animal Testing Facility
Greetings,
I am writing to request that you take the necessary steps to halt the proposal to construct an animal testing facility in Malacca, Malaysia by Vivo BioTech, an Indian drug testing company.
The proposed laboratory will test on dogs, small animals, as well as primates. Vivo Biotech plans to obtain their primate subjects domestically from Malaysia, which is in conflict with Malaysia's 2008 ban on exporting primates for research.
As it stands now, Malaysia has few regulations on animal testing, and it will thus be difficult to ensure that Vivo Biotech is at all invested in the welfare of the wild caught primates they test on. Allowing Vivo Biotech to outsource their barbaric animal testing to Malaysia will have a detrimental impact on worldwide opinion of Malaysia.
I am writing to ask you to halt the Vivo Biotech's plans to build the animal testing facility.
Thank you.
