The Our Lady of Calvary Abbey, a Trappist monastery, located in Rogersville, New Brunswick has recently been urged by several animal rights groups to shut down its farming operation due to grossly inhumane treatment of animals. The monastery is operating a factory farm which is subjecting hundreds of thousands of chickens to various forms of abuse, misuse, and cruelty. Please take a moment to speak up for these tortured animals and send a letter to the monastery to urge them to bring this operation of animal cruelty to a halt!

Important Concerns
Our Lady of Calvary Abbey
I am writing to you today to ask that you take effective and immediate action to end all farming operations that include the use of animals. I am aware that your farming methods are within government and veterinary guidelines and within provincial and federal regulations. However, these guidelines do little to nothing to protect animals. Farmed animals do not receive the same protection from cruelty that is given to domestic dogs and cats.
Factory Farming is unfathomably cruel. It staggers me how your conscience can let such horrifying acts of pain and suffering continue to happen to defenceless creatures who are unwillingly subjected to such torture. It is a disgusting act of violence and exploitation. I urge you to act accordingly for animals and end your farming practices.
Signed
