Sony Playstation and Microsoft plan on blocking the use of used copies of video games only allowing the consumer to play games that where players that purchase second hand games will have to go online with their new console and purchase the right to play the game. If you buy the disc, it must be locked to a single PSN and Xbox account, used games will be limited to a trial mode or some other form of content restriction. This will cause many of your favorite game stores to go out of business - or lose lots of business, many of these stores include Gamestop, EB Games, Blockbuster, Redbox, Bestbuy and any other store that sells used copies of games. You also cannot bypass any of this according to many sources that YOU MUST VALIDATE A NEW GAME ONLINE - you cant buy the disc and stay offline, you need to authenticate a new game online via the PSN or Xbox Live. The Xbox will require an "always on" DRM to prevent you from enjoying your used game.

Please sign this petition and share it with people, I figure bringing this to people's attention will educate and furthermore stop this all from happening, but, one can only hope.
