Once their Nov. 2010 deal to purchase "The Planet" web hosting was complete, SoftLayer became the service provider for all "The Planet" customers. Whether they failed to notice, or willingly allowed it, they are currently hosting a series of associated white supremacist websites.

StormFront is a typical hate speech & racial slur filled white supremacist website, more noteworthy is their creation of Martin Luther King defamation website. Both of these websites are a clear violation of SoftLayers Terms of Service. We are requesting these domains be shut down for this violation.

SoftLayer Quit Hosting Multiple White Supremacist Web Sites

Dear SoftLayer Legal & Support Departments,

We are writing in regards to multiple racist associated websites previously hosted by “The Planet”, that are now active customers of SoftLayer after the finalization of the company buyout. The first website is the primary group responsible for the creation of the 2nd website, both in clear violation of your MSA, specifically the section of Acceptable Use Policy or “AUP”.

11. Terrorist Websites: SoftLayer prohibits the use of dedicated services for the hosting of terrorist-related web sites. This includes sites advocating
human violence and hate crimes based upon religion, ethnicity, or country of origin.

We will not stop anything short of a complete removal of these racist websites, and will go so far as to remove any web hosting accounts we might possibly have with SoftLayer. We will not support any company that allows such hate speech on the internet. You, or any other web hosting company. We are asking that you remove all associated websites at your earliest convenience. We will then conclude the use of this petition to spread the word about these specific websites, and your association with them.
