In the last couple weeks, thousands of us have sent a clear message to the EPA - it's time to ban mountaintop removal mining.
Now, to make sure the message is heard, we're sending it right to the top. Sign our petition to President Obama calling for a permanent ban on mountaintop removal mining.

As the EPA debates the status of hundreds of mountaintop removal mining permits, we want to apply grassroots pressure to every part of the administration to make sure our message is heard load and clear.
Mountaintop removal mining decimates our wilderness areas and wildlife habitat, pollutes our waterways and threatens our public health. And for what?
So the coal companies can make a little more money.
We believe our wild lands and waterways shouldn't have a price tag on them - and we need to make sure President Obama knows how we feel. Add your name to our petition by following the link below.

We the undersigned are calling on you to use every tool at your disposal to ban the practice of mountaintop removal mining. 

This form of mining has destroyed hundred of mountains throughout Appalachia, and poisoned hundreds of miles of waterways throughout the region
